Operational expenditure and capital expenditure, or Opex/Capex planning, is a strategy to increase capital expenditure while lowering operational expenditure, but reducing spending overall. The idea here is that when you invest in capital expenditures, you are using those investments to make improvements, see long-term benefits.
We take a proactive position with cost management with a support system that delivers timely, accurate, and detailed financial data of your vessel OPEX. We make tactical and strategic approaches to minimize costs within our defined performance levels.
We will calculate and following bellow 4 Fleet performance KPIs in order to have a better understanding of what works in your fleet and what does not:
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)– an indication of reliability, and availability of your vessel;
- Unit costs– an indication of which vessels are most cost-effective and which are costing high;
- Vessel Utilization – indicating the amount of time your vessel is in use, versus usable but not being used;
- Failure response time –indicating the time it takes for failures on board to be identified, addressed, and solved.
